Hi folks, it’s been been quite a summer already, and this week the weather has been just stunning so far.
West Ham minus, Declan Rice, have exceeded, all my expectations so far. Like this glorious weather, I will enjoy it while it lasts. I also hope my home town club Luton start collecting some points soon.

Currently, we have only one event lined up, although we have more in the pipeline. The Protect Association meeting and golf competition at St Neots golf club on Thursday 21st September. The main sponsor for the event is the Davies Group, and the drinks sponsor, is NSL Telecoms. My thanks to both for their support. There are still some places available if you would like to join us. Contact me for the details of the event, the cost for the arrival refreshments, 18 holes of golf, the prizes, and a one course meal afterwards, is just £50pp.

I am delighted to say that Malcolm Padgett, our Compliance Guru, has agreed to provide one of his unique Regulatory Updates, the date is likely to be mid November. I have the 15th pencilled in.
We will again be relying on our company member Grant Thornton to share there programme of insurance and compliance related events, and webinars. They have been such great supporters of the Protect Association for some time now.

Another supportive company member is Worksmart Limited, who are also a member of the Davies Group.
I am delighted to say they have been nominated for two awards at the Compliance Register Platinum Awards on the 28th Sept.
Best Reg Tech Firm
Outstanding Service Provider of the Year.
They have also been very generous supporters of the Protect Association, and I will be going along to the awards night to cheer them on.

Another rich source of events, news, and information, has come from our Strategic Partner position with the APCC – the  Association of Professional Compliance Consultants. The do a magnificent job covering the compliance world and sharing it.

That’s it from me for now, do keep an eye on our website for events, information and news stories.
I have no doubt there are going to be plenty of Consumer Duty related material to share.
best wishes
