Hi folks, I hope this finds you well, as we hurtle towards Christmas and the new Year.
I have just updated our members’ list to replace Assured Futures with their new name
Howden Life and Health.
We have Malcolm Padgett presenting on a Zoom webinar for us next week. The subject is on the risk and compliance warnings for insurers and distributors which will lie within the FCA’s commentary on the publication of the General Insurance value measures data.
Malcolm has been a regular speaker and great supporter of Protect Association events. His forensic approach to compliance is a joy and a marvel of nature, don’t miss it!
It’s on Wednesday November 15th and starts at 10.30am and last for an hour, which includes a 15 minute Q&A. All the details are on our events page of the Protect Association website. Please do register your places now.
We have no other webinars or events currently scheduled after Malcolm’s, but having flicked through what else is on, I have picked up that Consumer Intelligence have James Daley, MD of Fairer Finance, on Nov 14th at 11.00am on the subject of Instalments: Compliance, consumers, and competitive advantage.
Its only a matter of time before the FCA turns a closer eye to insurers instalment offerings, so its time to make sure you are prepared.

On Nov 30th at 2.00pm for 60 minutes, Morgan Ash have Andrew Gething, Martin Grimwood, senior Director, FWD Research, and James Edmunds – Customer experience director of investor in customers, speaking on Consumer Duty – Reporting on outcomes – The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Square 4, whose MD Matthew Drage is an individual member of the Protect Association, have two webinars coming up soon – Nov 21, at 11.00am for 60 minutes on Culture, Conduct, & Governance in a Consumer Duty world.
They also have another on Nov 28th again at 11.00am for 60 minutes – Subject Title Outcomes Monitoring in a Consumer Duty World.
Its certainly a Consumer Duty world at the moment and for some tie to come no doubt. That’s it from me
Best wishes
